We are extremely pleased to announce that with help from Trees for Life and St Marys CP School, we are now home to ten new fruit trees across 4 Towers TMO site!
Trees for Life are a local charity dedicated to promoting awareness and understanding throughout the city of the value and importance of trees. They work in partnership with the Birmingham Civic Society and Birmingham City Council and since 2006; they have managed to plant over 50,000 trees!
We are proud to have been able to contribute to the admirable work of the charity and teach children from St Marys CP School, the importance of looking after the environment and contributing to their local communities.
The children had a fantastic time planting the apple, pear and plum trees and we thank the residents that helped to oversee the project, ensuring it was a success. We hope to see the trees producing fruit in 3 -5 years’ time and look forward to seeing the results!
A massive thank you to St Marys CP School, Trees for Life and the residents that helped oversee the joint project. If you want to find out more about Trees for Life and how you can get involved please follow the link: http://www.btfl.org.uk/about.
